About A Eyes
I created the glasses from a microcomputer with a small storage device to contain the operating system and software. I also incorporated a camera, connected with a flexible extension cable, which visually captured the surrounding environment. A portable battery pack in a protective case powers the system. There also is a Bluetooth earpiece that delivers audio feedback to alert wearers of nearby obstacles.
A Eyes In Action
The system uses AI computer vision to detect all the objects in front and using a text-to-speech interface instructs the person of the objects around and the distances to each object.
Awards
This project won 1st place at Harmony Sciencer Fair.It also won 1st place at GARSEF.Also, Emotiv, the company which makes wireless wearable earbuds with built-in EEG sensors offered to sponsor my project.
